Step 1. Make sure the hair is clean and dry. Section the hair before application of strips, make sure to leave about one eighth of an inch from the hair line, this will help to hide the weft and to provide flexibility and movement.
Step 2. Cut the Xtendtress to match the width of the Quick Track Strip. Remove the white tape from the Xtendtress pre-taped hair, do not apply the special adhesive to the exposed surface of the tape at this time.
Step 3. Part Clients hair and place the Xtendtress hair (sticky side down) about one eighth of an inch away from the top of the clients hair line. Press gently to secure.
STEP 4. Using a rattail comb, pin the Xtendtress Hair up over the original part line toward the crown of the head. Make sure that is is smooth and level. Use small clips to keep the sectioned areas free of stray hair and always start at the bottom most level and work toward the crown of the head.
STEP 5. Place a thin coat of the adhesive over sticky exposed surface (strip) of the the Xtendtress hair. You may use a blow dryer set on low to speed up the adhesive drying process. Do not over dry! The adhesive should be slightly tacky. Be careful not place adhesive onto the clients scalp. The attached Xtendtress hair should be flexible and not stuck to the clients scalp.
STEP 6. While Xtendtress hair is pined in a level postions, place the other strip on top of the first Xtendtress tacky strip press firmly to insure a good bond. The Xtendtress hair will stay attached to the until it is removed. In most cases, due to the client's hair growth, maintenance will be needed in approximately 2 months.
Recommended Method Of Attachment for Xtendtress. The Quick Track Strips are about two inches long. Creating small rows in a brick pattern will allow for the most coverage and movement.

REMOVAL OF XTENDTRESS STRIPS:
1.) The First Step is to apply non-toxic remover to the Xtendtress Wefts. Make sure to cover both the top and bottom attached parts.
2.) Place a plastic cap over the hair and seat client under a hair dryer set on warm for five minutes. This allows the remover to integrate with and soften the bond. To remove just a few pieces, hold a blow dryer close to the client for a couple of seconds. You must apply remover to both top and bottom surfaces.
3.) Gently remove the Xtendtress Strips from the clients hair, using additional remover to dissolve any residue left behind.
4.) Generously apply Xtendtress Clarifying Shampoo and work into the oily areas where the remover has been used.
5.) Thoroughly lather and rinse and then repeat the shampoo process, this time shampooing the entire head. Make sure all oily residue has been removed from the hair. Do not hesitate to repeat the shampooing process as many time as need. DO NOT APPLY CONDITIONER IF CLIENT IS GOING TO GET ANOTHER ATTACHMENT!
6.) Thoroughly dry the hair before reapplying the Xtendtress System.
